Our co-founder Julio Villarreal is a former U.S. Marine and a part of Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster relief nonprofit, serving global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our family is Florida-based and has experienced the devastation caused by hurricanes, including Andrew, one of the most powerful cat 5 hurricanes in history. Nobody wants to be on this side of history, the catastrophic damage and flooding from both Helene and Milton will take a long time to recover.
